We Arrived Safely

After plenty of preparations, endless lists and more luggage than intended, we have arrived at 96 Leidengracht  in Amsterdam, our first stop. We are sitting in the sunshine on our third floor canal house on our third cup of coffee watching the canal boats go by. (I am so happy we put the stovetop espresso maker in the bag).... We must have slept for 13 hours...and now we are feeling almost normal.

Hiho travellers, Today we received our postcard and are delighted to learn about this fabulous postcard race, even though we didn't win (this time).

Alas, Emma and I are big losers in the postcard race. But we did like our postcard.

I wonder if Lori and Rolyn will win all the races? That's 12 presents from around the world (unless Rachel bought them all at the airport on her way out of town, that's what I might have done).

Sweet travelers, I know the view you are talking about so well... and I'm so happy to sun was out for you on your first day!!!

Thanks for the postcard, guess we'll be running downstairs every time the mail guy walks by from now on.

Veel plezier in Amsterdam,

Now I have rechecked our Post Card arrival... 10:30 am April 3rd. We awaited our post gal with great enthusiasm...bragged to Hugh about the earlier catchment of the card...still alas the handicap in Surrey seems too much to overcome :(
